Workers who violate the labour law and get a one-year ban from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will not be allowed to enter the UAE on a visit visa during the period.
Lieutenant Colonel Salim Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Naturalisation and Residency Department, told Gulf News that those who have been banned by the labour ministry for a year for flouting regulations cannot enter the country even on a visit visa.
“They have to leave the country and can only re-enter after serving the ban period. Those who have cancelled their labour permits without a ban from the ministry can re-enter the country on a visit visa but they cannot work till the end of six months,” he said. Many expatriates are confused over whether they can get a visit visa if they get a ban from the labour ministry.
